Hi, I'm Abri
Abri (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSW-A) who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Masters in Social Work. Abri holds dual Bachelor degrees in Human Development/Family Studies and Psychology, also from UNC-Chapel Hill. She utilizes a person-centered, LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist approach to therapy, recognizing the various systems impacting the lives of children and families in today’s world.
Abri places great emphasis on fostering the therapeutic relationship, centering collaboration, trust, and authenticity in her work. She is dedicated to providing children and families with a safe space where their unique experiences and identities are embraced and uplifted.
Abri integrates aspects of trauma-informed practice, child-centered play therapy, expressive arts therapy, bibliotherapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in her work with clients. Abri practices Child-Centered Play Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy ® under the supervision of Sara Bagramian, LCSW, RPT-S.
Abri’s therapeutic interests include play therapy, expressive arts therapy, LGBTQ+ identity and family structures, attachment concerns, and trauma.
Abri joined the Oak City team in June 2025 and has limited openings for children aged 2+, teens, and parents.
