Hi, I’m Chloe
Chloe (she/they) believes kids and teens do their best growing when they feel safe enough to just be themselves — and that's exactly the kind of space she creates, often through color, creativity, and play.
A National Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), and Licensed School Counselor, Chloe holds a Master's in Professional School Counseling from Appalachian State University.
She practices Child-Centered Play Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy® under the supervision of Sara Bagramian, LCSW, RPT-S, with specialized training in expressive arts therapy, autism, and child and adolescent counseling. Chloe is currently pursuing certification in expressive arts certification.
Art and music are often at the heart of Chloe's work with clients. With younger clients, she follows their lead through a non-directive, child-centered approach, using creative expression to help kids build confidence, practice autonomy, and discover who they really are.
With teens and young adults, including college students navigating life stressors, she draws on person-centered, existential, and feminist frameworks to meet clients where they are.
Chloe brings both clinical and research experience supporting LGBTQ+ youth and adults, and she's especially passionate about identity, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and neurodiversity.
She's also completed Integrative Attachment Family Therapy training with Dafna Lender, blending attachment, bonding, DDP, and Theraplay® to help parents and children build deeper, more secure connections.
Chloe joined Oak City Counseling in 2024 and has limited openings for clients ages 2 and up, including teens, college students and young adults.
