Sydnee's path to Oak City Counseling is rooted in a genuine love for children and families. With a background spanning childcare, elementary literacy, and administrative support, plus a Psychology degree from NC State, she brings both heart and experience to everything she does here.

As the first point of contact for many families, Sydnee takes pride in making the intake process feel easy and welcoming. She manages client communications, coordinates care, and keeps daily operations running smoothly so that families can focus on what matters most.
Outside the office, Sydnee is an experienced nanny, a role that has deepened her understanding of what children need to truly thrive. She knows firsthand how much a nurturing, consistent environment matters, and that perspective shapes the care she brings to her work every day.

When she's not at Oak City, you'll find her curled up with a good book, tending to her indoor garden, or spending time with her dog, Sophie. Sydnee has been with Oak City Counseling since 2025.
